Alisha Franckowiak - Outstanding Special Education Provider!
Alisha was nominated by a colleague because she has innovative ways for students with disabilities participate in physical education activities. She is creative, fun, and hardworking.

Alisha has been teaching for twenty-one years now. She has taught K-6 PE for the majority of those years but has taught every grade level pre-college.  She was at North Shore Community School for fifteen years before coming to Hermantown. This is her second year in Hermantown.

Alisha’s favorite part of working in special education is the amazing and inspiring students! She enjoys the ability to use her creative mind and life learned lessons/experiences to help children make meaningful connections. The teams she works with are awesome!   From the amazing paraprofessionals to teachers and other service providers make it worthwhile.

She has two children ages 17 (Will) and 14 (Gretta) and being their mom means the world to her!  She loves photography, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, hunting, and foraging/spending time in the woods.  She loves to cook and create meals for others to enjoy and she is blessed to have many special people who have crossed her journey in life.

Congratulations Alisha and thank you for all your hard work!
