Emily Corrin - Outstanding Special Education Teacher!

Emily Corrin Outstanding Special Education Teacher!
Emily was nominated by a colleague because she is a creative, hard-working, extremely organized, thinks outside the box, and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure she meets her students' individualized goals and objectives. She is an absolute rockstar, and we appreciate her dedication and love for her job.

Emily is honored to receive this award! This is her first year in the Hermantown district. Five years ago, she worked in Carlton for the MS/HS. In between teaching jobs, her family traveled the world as her husband played hockey. Emily loves seeing the students' growth and personalities change as the year goes on. She also loves advocating for students, not everyone understands what the students need or why, so she enjoys helping them reach their full potential.

Emily is really excited to settle down and build a foundation for the DCD program at Hermantown Middle School. The last 5 years Emily and her family traveled with her husband as he played hockey. They spent 2 years overseas in Germany and Slovakia. They have two daughters, Colette (3), and Remi (2), and a golden retriever named Rainy. Emily loves doing things outside and being with family!

Congratulations Emily!
