Sara Boespflug - Outstanding Special Education Teacher!

Sara Boespflug - Outstanding Special Education Teacher!
Sara was nominated by a colleague is very easy to work with, willing to go the extra mile with students, take on extra work, and willing to listen and learn from others about the student's disabilities. She puts in an enormous amount of time and effort to make the student and the team successful.

Sara started working in Proctor School District in 2009 in the Early Childhood Program as an ECFE teacher and transitioned to her current position (DCD M/M at the high school level) in 2015. Prior to that she worked as a Preschool Teacher in Rochester, MN.

Her favorite part of working in Special Education is watching the students make gains and become proud of themselves for doing things they always thought were impossible. She also loves helping the students work towards their goals in life and helping them to see that anything is possible if they are willing to give it a try.

Sara has been married to her husband for 9.5 years and they have two children (Nicholas 5 years and Diane 2.5 years) along with their two cats (Bella and Zeke) and dog (Coop). She loves to be outdoors when the weather is nice hiking, walking, spending time with her kids, out on the boat with family, and relaxing and enjoying life. When she has time, she tries to read for fun (this happens more in the summer) and even doing the occasional puzzle.

Thank you for your hard work and congratulations Sara!
